I am Karla M. Scipio, RN, BSN, MPH, a woman whose journey has been defined by resilience, purpose, and unwavering faith. As a registered nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Public Health, I have dedicated my career to improving the lives of others, particularly women, through healthcare, education, and advocacy. My expertise in women’s health, coupled with my role as a minister, author, entrepreneur, and non-profit founder, allows me to address the multifaceted challenges that women face today.
I am also a proud wife, mother, and grandmother, roles that ground me in love and compassion. Overcoming life’s hurdles has equipped me with the wisdom and passion to inspire and uplift women around the world. Through my work, I strive to create spaces for transformation—where women can heal, grow, and thrive in their health, wellness, and purpose. Bold, insightful, and sassy, I am committed to leaving a lasting impact on the lives I touch, guiding others toward living their fullest and most authentic lives.
My work is rooted in helping Black women pivot through deep reflection and honest self-assessment. Through my coaching frameworks—Maps & Mirrors and Sitting With Self—I guide women to confront the woman and the girl in the mirror, acknowledge her needs and wounds, and create a path toward true transformation.
After decades as a nurse and women’s health advocate, I’ve learned that healing doesn’t start in the clinic—it starts within. Many Black women move through life carrying unaddressed pain, childhood imprints, burnout, and the weight of being everything for everyone else. These coaching spaces help women slow down, see themselves clearly, and finally tend to the parts of them that have been overlooked.
Maps & Mirrors and Sitting With Self offer a structured yet compassionate journey of reflection, emotional honesty, and spiritual grounding. Whether in group settings or one-on-one, women gain tools to pivot from survival mode into purpose, alignment, and holistic well-being.
My mission is simple: create a safe and culturally rooted space where Black women can pause, heal, and rise. Through these programs, women learn to trust their inner voice, release what no longer serves them, and step boldly into who they were always meant to become.
Together, we are building a community of women who transform from the inside out—and thrive because of it.
